It's been SO long!

Well, there is no excuse for my tardiness. I'm sure people were a little disturbed that I had taken a few days off from blogging. $375 later, I FINALLY have my computer back in my hands!! I am very excited about that. Nothing was lost, NOTHING! Everything, including my e-mails, are back and faster than ever.

Well, this whol three jobs thing has been a little draining physically. I am so tired now, I need to get rid of the restaurant job. It's fun, by the drive is killing me. I leave my house for work at 8:30 am, and don't walk back in until 10:30 or 11 that night. I want just some time to unwind, relax, maybe sleep :)

Last night Trei and I got back around 10:30. Because Blue was wide awake, we were forced to extend our evening a little longer while we wore out the dog.

He's so fiesty right now. He really thinks he is much bigger than he actually is. You can see it in his face in this picture!! He looks like a little devil.

But other than that - he is so sweet, and SO cute. People always stop to tell me what a beautiful dog he is, and he really is so friendly and smart. He really is so much fun to have. He sleeps through the night now, and although he still pee's wherever he feels its appropriate - he's learning! We love him!

Let's see, that else is going on in my life....not a whole lot. I have a lot going on in my head - unfortunately, I'm at work, and have some other things to accomplish. I'll be back though - so don't worry about me :)

A New Week....

Well, it's the start of a new week. I am feeling both exhausted, yet surprisingly refreshed. Kind of ironic! Anyway, this weekend proved to be a wonderful one. Friday night I spoke with Dan, the computer man, and he was able to backup to most important files in my computer - "just in case" it crashes once I get it back (in that case, I'll need to buy a new hard drive). So that was probably the best news I've heard in a long time!! THANK GOD! I still haven't gotten my computer, or the backup disc back - but I'm glad that he was able to save what I absolutely needed. I worked at the restaurant this weekend. My days were spent in the back yard, with Trei and the puppy, swimming and lounging by the pool. It was so good to pull myself away from what I "needed" to do - and forced myself to enjoy the sun, and some time with Trei. It was sooo nice!

Poor Me

Well, it looks like my poor little laptop is very sick! I just got off the phone with the computer guy, and he said that my hard drive is not working properly. It won't let him get into my files. He's waiting for a recepticle that will *hopefully* allow him to access the data. If not, it will be an extremely expensive and lengthy process to get my files back. If he's unable to help me, my hard drive will have to be sent to a recovery house where I will let them know what files need to be taken off, and they will charge me a fixed rate depending on the amount of files that need to be recovered. On top of that I will need to buy a new laptop hard drive that will run me another couple hundred dollars. If your reading this - please take a moment to pray that Dan can retrieve the information off my hard drive - and that nothing important (pictures, wedding files, school assignments, and music) is damaged. I really can't afford to have a recovery house get my files - but then again - with over a thousand pictures, I can't afford not to! Anyway, I'm feeling a little sick to my stomach. I really hope this works out in my favor.

Lord, this situation is in your hands. I trust that my data will be retrieved, and there won't be too much money involved. I ask that you would give Dan wisdom, and allow him the ability to access my files! I ask this in Your name - AMEN!!!

You never know....

Well, it seems as though my life is in a constant state of change. I don't know if this is God preparing me for marriage, or just the effects of growing older. I took on a third job today. Tutoring two kids I know 15 hours a week. Everyone around me thinks I'm crazy - but I feel like I'm not as accomplished if I'm not filling my time with something. The plan is to cut down to three nights a week at the restuarant so I can take on this new position. I've always been known to put a lot on my plate - but I've also been known to handle it really well, so I'm not really concerned. Plus, I just can't think of not having one of these three jobs. I love working for my dad, I like the restaurant atmosphere, and tutoring will be a very well paying position. So why let go of one of them? I just feel like I'm in this state of fluxuation. I'm getting married and moving away in 4 months, but until then I have to work, and attempt to finish school. I just feel like I really can't steady my feet anywhere, because there is no permenance to my life right now. Only the knowledge that God is taking me elsewhere. It just seems like my priorities are changing, as well as my desires. I really just want to get married, move to Reno, and start my life there. Everything I'm doing here feels kind of like a filler.

Stupid Computer

Well, the computer guy is coming to fix my computer today. $75 an hour! Can you believe that? I need to get into the computer business. Seriously.

Well, a little note to those of you who are writing me e-mails, or expecting an e-mail from me. Because of the little problem with my computer - I am unable to access any of my e-mail. I'll let you all know the progress once the repair guy gets here.

AHHHHH!!!

I don't think this morning could have started off any worse! Last night I was on my computer, and there were absolutely NO problems. But because my battery was low, it shut off. I started it back up, and it gave me this DOS options screen. So I tried every option, including safe mode, and it did nothing! So I called technical support, and they told me I'd have to do a full recovery - he even had the nerve to ask if I had anything IMPORTANT on my computer (who asks that!). I told him yes, that my life was on my computer and I can't lose anything. Well, he tried to step me through the process, but to be honest, his accent was so heavy I couldn't understand what he was trying to tell me. So I turned off my computer and prayed that the morning wpould bring brighter things. Well, not only did the morning not fix my computer, but the girl we had hired that was "supposed" to start today had written my dad an e-mail late last night saying her previous employer had made her a better offer!!!! So my conclusion this morning is that computers and people are flakes! Honestly, I feel naked. My computer has my life on it. ALL of my pictures are on it. Stupid me, has never taken the time to back-up my system! All of my financial information is in Quicken. My school assignments, and class notes. My class assignments. EVERYTHING. If I lose any of it, I will cry. It will take me months to get over. Isn't that crazy - that you can rely so heavily on a computer.

And this girl. Who takes a job 2 weeks ago, and then lets the new employer know that she has decided to keep her other job the night before she's supposed to come in! That put extreme pressure on my dad, and extreme pressure on me. I am so mad at that girl. So here I am - looking forward to 14 hour days. Looks like I won't be part-time here for another few weeks. That coupled with 5 nights a week at the restuarant, and trying to finish school, and plan a wedding, and take care of a puppy, Go to the gym, and try and get some sleep - I'm going to be a stressed out mess for awhile. I just pray that my computer is fine and I didn't lose anything on it. I would be so sad.

Okay, enough with the complaining. Things could be much worse. I need to start remembering whats important in life, and focus on those things. Well, back to work...

I'm Baaaaack!

Well, I'm currently on the plane, flying home from 4 wonderful days in Reno. In just a few moments, I will get into my weekend - but for now, I need to comment on my fear of flying. I honestly don't think I will ever get over it. I think it's just a nervous habit of mine - and something that will remain with me forever. So in between typing my thoughts, and typing this out, I will be whispering my spiritual language to myself while the woman next to me looks at me like I'm a freak.

I found out something about myself yesterday

It was very profound, and very clear. I was sitting in the nail salon about to get my nails done when I noticed this man walking fast back and forth past the shop. He looked upset about something, but I dismissed it. About 5 minutes later, he walked in, looked me in the eye, walked past me, and started raising his voice at the owner of the shop. I couldn't hear what he was saying, but he was waving a piece of paper. Then he ran out. I got really nervous, and my first initial thought was "Get out - he's going to bring in a gun and shoot the whole place up!"

Happy Easter!!

I love holidays. I love being with family, and relaxing, and talking. Yesterday was really fun. Being that it was my last Easter at home, I took a little more pride in our family traditions. The most important being our Easter baskets. I believe that no one is ever too old for a basket. I intend on having one for Trei every Easter that we spend together. My mom always has an elaborate basket for each of her kids - adding Trei o the last last year, and the dog to the list this year. Yep, call my mom the "new Martha". We are all excited to see whats hidden for us each year. Ofcourse as we get older things start to change. This year on top of getting my own - Trei and got a large one to split. In it - a huge spaghetti bowl for our new house, and a rope for our dog.
