Pumpkin Carving

Well, we spent last night carving pumpkins with Shauntaye, Tracy, and Tracy's beautiful son Anthony. I haven't carved pumpkins in years - maybe even a decade. so I was very excited. You can even see the determination in my face to make this project perfect (also note: my nails in this picture. Yep, that's right. I've been nail less for about 3 weeks now!!!) Anthony and I got the job of pulling the seeds out of the pumpkins - and I'd say we did a pretty good job of it. Shauntaye made us her famous "Garlic Dip", and Tracy forgot to bring the entertainment (Frinding Nemo) - but we quickly learned that Anthony was enough entertainment for the 4 of us - and he convinced me to want children even more (like I needed anymore convincing!). Him and Blue became instant buddies, and Anthony received enough doggy kisses to last him a lifetime. I even let him jump on my bed (He's not allowed to at home - but every kid has to have a "fun" house). What a great time we had. Shauntaye made Anthony's pumpkin to say "AG" his initials. Trei made a great smiley face. I made a hole. Yeah - it was supposed to be a cat...but yeah, it didn't work (you can see the pictures below). Oh well, life goes on. Atleast I can say I still had a great time. Oh and Tracy - Anthony has got to start calling his diaper "underwear" - panties just isn't going to be cool when he's 7 years old :)

Morning Ritual

Usually, Blue is not allowed on the bed. However, this morning, I was too tired to keep him from jumping up while I was making the bed. You know, making a bed with a puppy who loves to fight with the pilows really isn't too easy :)

What's New?

So I get a call this morning from Trei. He tells me I should start my car about 15 minutes before I have to leave for work because I have frost on my windows. I forgot to park my car in the garage last night, so this morning, it was a big car sized piece of ice. That has NEVER happened to me. So, I let me car sit in the driveway and warm up. Kind seems like a waste of gas. I need to remember to park in the garage! Oh, the joys of living in a cold state.

My site is currently under some minor construction. I've been trying to figure out how to center the banner....so far, I'm out of luck. Anyway - until I have everything perfect, I have to apologize for it's lack of organization....

Well, life in Reno hasn’t changed much since I’ve arrived. I feel like I shouldn’t be posting because I might bore my fellow friends and family to death. I’d hate to do that – but I’ve been bugged enough to update, so I must meet the requests. Read On....

The First Snow

I'm looking out my office window right now and it's snowing. I was scrambling for my camera - and couldn't find it. Then I realized....if I were in California right now, this would be a huge deal. But I'm in Reno - this is only the beginning of many days filled with snow.

Brrrrrr.....

Well, I'm here at work, and I'm freezing cold. The forecast for Reno? 44 degrees and pouring rain. The road to Mt. Rose already requires chains, and they expect AM snow by Thursday. What the heck?? I haven't even had time to buy myself a jacket. But it's not like there is an escape from the cold - because the people working in our office like to keep the temperature at 65 degrees!!! So Melissa (yes, the girl working next to me is named Melissa!) and I sit at our desks as layered as possible, drinking hot chocolate to keep us warm. You'd think there would be a little sympathy for the girls from Calfornia (Melissa is from Orange County) - but there's not. I can sense that I'm not getting much sympathy from your end either.

Well, the move into our new home was successful. It is so beautiful. I walk around and can't believe that it is ours!!! As you can see from the pictures our home is a little bare. I took these pictures this weekend, so they're not very recent. As of today - everything is put away and the house is spotless. I can't wait for all of you to come and visit. I have a guest room - and it's open for anyone to take advantage of.

Saturday night Shauntaye and JC came over to help is get things in order. In this picture they are helping Trei and I clean our leather couch - yes, I know, what great friends! We had a lot of fun laughing, chatting, eating chips and salsa, and cleaning the couch :)

Sunday we bowled as usual. Doesn't Trei have great form? I think so. That was a lot of fun. I managed to score just enough that I placed 3rd in womans handicap game (for those of you who are a little behind - a handicap is the points you have added to you scratch game to make up for any short coming a bowler has). It's not because I'm a handicap and have to have a different score. EVERYONE has a handicap. Okay? Okay! So that's it for now. My life hasn't gotten very interesting in the past few weeks. I'm anticipating that it will, so we'll see. I'll keep you posted.

Well, it's back to work. Internet get's hooked up at our house this weekend. Pray I have something worth reading by then. Love you all - and missing California!!!
