Back to the Grind

Well, I'm back in the office. After 5 days off, I can honestly say that I'm actually glad to be back to work. Maybe it's the feeling of being productive - or maybe I've actually gone crazy. But for now, I'm going to appreciate this happy feeling and seize the day. What a great weekend we had!

A good one is coming...

But for now.... a look outside my house this morning around 9am. So Beautiful :)

Arrrgh!

The last 2 days Advil and cough drops have been my best friends. I have not been this sick in....I don't know how long. I feel that at any moment I'm going to cough up my lungs. On top of a cough that sounds like I've been smoking since I was a newborn - my throat is killing me, I have the chills, my nose is stuffed, and I feel like I have a sinus headache. Not only did this almost ruin my weekend, but it threatens to ruin my Thanksgiving!! I don't know if I can really handle that.  So please pray that I'm well enough to enjoy my time off and the people around me. I've been feeling the need to take a small vacation and enjoy time with our family.

Karissa...I'm writing you a little note, since I'm assuming you'll read it. I hope your feeling alright. I e-mailed you the other day - attempting to cheer you up. I hope it worked a little. Plan on bringing Catch Phrase with you. That's probably the only thing you'll be able to do while your here. And if you want, I'll let you win as much as possible. As a morale booster. You've been in my thoughts, and I'm really looking forward to seeing you this week. I love you.

34 Degrees of Misery!!!!!

Well, it has to be a record freezing cold here in good ole' Reno Nevada. I don't think my body has ever felt such cold. Seriously...have you ever shivered so much that your back begins to ache? I have.....every single morning!! When I arrive here at the igloo office - it's about 8am, and the thermostat is set at 50 degrees. Yes, you read that right, 50 DEGREES. So I have to walk over and set it for 70. Only - it takes about 3 hours for the room to even be comfortable. So for 3 hours I feel like I'm going to die. Being cold is not fun and very uncomfortable. Like Trei said "only 6 months till the warm weather rolls in" - Yes, I hear what your saying "6 months is a loooong time". But I choose to look on the bright side of things. He could have said it would be 8 months, 11 months, or never. So i can't really complain - things could be a lot worse. Well, except for right now, because I can't feel my toes, my fingers, or my nose.....

I wish I were brave enough to chop my hair off. I think I would feel such a release. But then again....hair is such a security blanket - if it were gone, and I hated it - I'd be "up chocolate creek without a popsicle stick" :)

The Weaver

Another Day

Hey - it's 9am, and I'm dreading that there is still 8 hours of work today. I need to snap out of this. My attitude about work makes everyday seem like an eternity. I'm not helping myself out at all - yet, I can't get myself to actually enjoy going to work! So, instead of sit here and mope - I'm going to type on my blog. This will make a few minutes go by, and hopefully make me feel better.

Anyone who has known me longer than 4 years, probably remembers my dear friend Eva.  Her and I stopped talking a few years back but were reaquainted this past month when she stumbled across this site and contacted me! Since then we have exchanged many e-mails, and I have enjoyed rekindling this new friendship. She started a blog herself and it can be found on the left hand side of this page. By looking at the picture - you can see how gorgeous she is - but most importantly, she is nice, funny, giving, funny, intelligent, funny, driven, and did I mention hilariously funny?! I am extremely blessed to be back in contact with her. She is one of those people that will remain your friend forever - and you'll be a better person because of it. To all my gal friends reading this - stop by her site and say hello by posting a comment. She is one of those friends, you won't want to pass up - and I mean that whole-heartedly too. So get off your behinds and say what up to Eva.

I have to show you all some pictures of Blue - it's hard to see exactly what he was up to - but you'll get the idea. Friday, Trei got home from work and threw his shirt on the floor. He had been wearing a long sleeved black shirt under a green one. Anyway, Blue thought he'd get into a little mischief when he climbed into Trei's shirt. Only he was trying to squeeze into the sleeve - and couldn't get himself out. He was extremely irritated and argued for his freedom a long time. All the while - Ace is jumping on him, and starting to pick a fight. Maybe this is one of those "had to be there" moments - but I laughed, so you've got to think it's funny :)

K - well time to get back to work! Pray that this day flies by. I need it.
