Trei is 23 Today!!!!

Happy Birthday Love!!

Today is Trei's 23rd birthday and I am so excited. What a great reason to celebrate. I am so lucky to be married to this man. My life has only gotten better since we met, and I am looking forward to the many, many, many years we have together. He already opened his first few presents, and has been using his new iPod shuffle every second he can. I think he liked it :)

We have a small get together planned for Saturday night, and are looking very forward to the socializing. I'll have pictures to post sometime on Sunday, and hopefully I look decent in them - you know there is a reason why I haven't posted any pictures of myself recently. The camera and I are not getting along.

Well, if you get a chance, call him today and wish him a very happy birthday. He would love that.

I Heart San Francisco

Well, I left my heart (and favorite clothing stores) in San Francisco. No, your eyes are not playing tricks on you. I am really updating my blog with something of substance. If you missed my post a few weeks ago, then you don't know that Trei's parents offered to take us to San Francisco for Trei's birthday. We left Sunday afternoon, and arrived back to Reno Tuesday afternoon - and did we had a GREAT time.

As most of you know, Sunday was Fathers Day and we took to the road right after church. Making the drive into beautiful San Francisco for some shopping, a Giants baseball game, shopping, good eating, a movie, and did I mention shopping? We made it into San Francisco around 4pm and settled into our hotel room. We stayed at a Marriot situated a few blocks from Union Square and a few blocks from the stadium. But we didn't have much time to relax that night, because before we knew it, we were off to the IMAX theater to see "Batman Begins". It was amazing. A 90' screen, filled mostly with Christian Bales face is not something I'll forget very soon. Oh, and the movie was great too! A lot of action, a damsel in distress, and a few moments of grabbing Trei's hand. I definitely recommend seeing it.

.....Secrets

 I came across a blog where people mail homemade postcards bearing a secret about their life to be posted for the world to read. There is something emotional about people being vulnerable, and allowing themselves to be human - even if it's something I don't agree with it - even if it's anonymous. I immediately began to wonder what my secrets are....things that I don't tell people for fear of their reaction. I think everyone has them...whether it's a fear, wrongdoing, desire, hope, or regret. We all have secrets...what are yours??

Well, the vacation has been postponed for various reasons. Instead of early August, we'll be back in the land of beautiful people September 17th through September 26th. Yep, quite awhile later than we expected - but I'm just glad we're coming. No big deal. A huge update is planned for tonight or tomorrow with pictures included!!!

She's 21!!!

Happy 21st Birthday Flim-Flem!!From letting you drive my car when you were 15, and I was 17....to now - this is Crazy! I wish I could be there to spend this wonderful day with you. You are so very special to me, and I miss our friendship on a daily basis. Have a shot for me, and the time of your life. We'll have to make up for lost time in August.I loooove you!She's going to HATE this picture, but since the computer has crashed, I'm a little limited. This was June 12th of last year, after my bridal shower. She was WAY excited over the earrings I gave her.....too bad that damn London took her away. :)

Half Way Mark

I know that if I can make it to Wednesday that I'm going to be alright. It's the half way mark of the week, and I always look forward to it. I'd have to say that Tuesday is the worst. Monday I don't mind - I've had two days to forget about work, so coming back seems kind of exciting. But by Tuesday, the excitement has worn off, and I'm still 4 days away from my relief. Yes, Wednesday's are good.

I'm still adjusting to being back in the "real world" after a few days of "princess" time with my family. Work has come at me full force, and I'm feeling the effects of it. There has been some drama here in the office, but I'm trying to keep a good sense of humor about it all, to keep me somewhat sane. It's amazing to me what some people can think of to complain about. I laugh - because I wonder..."don't you have anything better to do with your time than be mad about what I do with mine?!" No, I haven't gotten into any trouble, but rumors circulate, and I always get a good chuckle out of it.
