I feel like my brain isn't functioning at it's normal speed. But I've figured out why. I'm slowly moving into vacation mode. The speed that your brain takes when it knows it will be going from full speed to no speed. 2 weeks.....2 weeks from today I'll be in Orange County, in the company of my parents and ready for 11 days of total relaxation. I seriously can't get vacation off the brain. But I'll try and refrain for he next 10 minutes so I can write about things that might actually interest you.
The past 2 weeks have been wonderful. I don't know if there's something in the air - but things are just perfect. I shall explain....

I was just talking to someone the other day about how busy life is - the constant responsibility of work, house payments, bills, dogs, and marriage; there is hardly any time for anything else. I know I'm not the only one, it seems that getting older brings with it the responsibilities of a "true" adult. Sometimes I wish I wouldn't have taken my youth for granted. I always wanted to be older than I was. Never content with the carefree days that came with being an adolescent. Now I'd give anything to go back and experience the fun I had at 16. What a great time it was. Now, here I am, 23 years old and a bonified grown up. Being grown up does have its perks though....so I guess I can't complain.

Wow, only 23 days until I board the plane for Southern California!!! This vacation is both needed and desperately wanted. I am seriously counting down the days until I'm back to the place that holds a massive piece of my heart. How fun!!!AHHHH, I can hardly wait! I'm ready to see my parents, my sister, my brothers, my friends, everyone. I'm ready for the beach, and shopping, and good restaurants, and the air, and the scenery. Really, I'm getting anxious and excited, and impatient. I really hope that 11 days is enough! Although I know myself, and I'm always ready to see my dogs, saying goodbye is never fun, or looked forward to. I am a California girl, and that will never change.
