I've been living in California for 26 days now, and only 9 of  those have been spent with my husband. The saying really is true....absence makes the heart grow fonder. Being away from Trei has been a real eye opener for me. It's so easy to fall into a routine, where you take love for granted. Being surrounded by it day in and day out, almost makes you numb to the beauty of it all. Maybe it's just me - but Trei went from being the "love of my life" to my "roommate". Not intentionally ofcourse - just with the course of time. I can't say I truly appreciated the role that he played in my life until I was without him for a few days. I'm not even sure I'm saying this correctly. What I'm really trying to say is that I love my husband so very very much - and I think I took it for granted this past year. No....I know I did.

Good Times

Why, oh, why, does Monday have to come so fast? I'm never ready for it.  Why can't we have just one more day?

This weekend I got to see Trei!! I was so excited to pick him up from the airport on Saturday. Even though there was only 4 days in between our visits, it felt like an eternity. 10 days until he's officially a Southern California resident with me, and we can go on with our "normal married life". It will be nice. As wonderful as it is to have extra time with my friends, and time with the Keyes - living out of a suitcase, and days in between a kiss from my husband is near torture. I don't know how people do it.

Breaking the Silence....

I'm BACK!! And this happens to be after a long and dramatic flight story. It takes a lot to stress me out....and today....I was stressed. But I hate to start off on the wrong foot.

First of all....Reno was WONDERFUL. But the truth is....as long as my husband is there, I don't care where I am. I flew out of Orange County on Friday night at 9:30pm. I arrived in Reno at 10:45 and was greeted by my handsome and loving husband. It was a sight for sore eyes. There is nothing like the embrace of someone whom you deeply care for. He looked even better than I remembered, and even though it was freezing cold outside - we stood and hugged each other for awhile. Getting 2 weeks worth of hugs in 5 minutes. It was worth it though.

"It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas"......Literally.

Today is the official first day that Starbucks is decorated for Christmas. Walk into any store, and you'll find twinkling lights, snow flakes, and the sound of Christmas Carols. I don't think I can stress enough just how much I LOVE Christmas time. It brings the warmest memories to my heart - and makes me happy. Seriously, in the 2 months before Christmas Day - I am excited. There are no bad days when Bing Crosby is singing. In fact, Trei and I practice singing Christmas carols all year long, in preparation for the this very season. I was in the mall a few weeks ago and Macy's was already putting up the wreathes and Christmas Trees.  Santa arrives for pictures as early as November 18th.....and people already have Christmas shopping on the brain. It's a magical time of the year. I was watching TV last night - and they were already advertising for holiday gifts, and you could hear music in the background, and I got really excited. Time for giving, making cookies, sending out Christmas cards, wrapping presents, building fires, gingerbread latte's, Christmas scents, seeing family, taking pictures, decorating the tree, looking at Christmas lights, shopping, and just plain holiday cheer. I am SO ready!!! The next two months you will see in me pure happiness and joy. I am a Christmas Girl.
