Well, my princess naps now. Oh boy, does she nap! A few hours, a few times a day. What, might you ask, cause such a change since my last post? I flipped her. Yes, I defied the doctors, books, and everything else I've read. Olivia is now officially a tummy sleeper, and the drastic change it's had is amazing, and not to mention relieving. As I type this, my sweet angel has been passed out in her bassinet since 10:30 and is showing NO signs of stirring. I am more than ecstatic with her new sleeping habits, and am trusting that she will be safe on her tummy. For her sake and mine, she needed her rest. If you have not met this daughter of mine, then you can't comprehend the crankiness that arises from her when she has not slept. She is like her dad....but maybe even a little worse :) In other news, I think she is teething. Lucas cut his first two teeth at four and a half months. Olivia has been fussier than normal, drooling profusely, and eating her hands like they are going out of style. Definitely signs of some teeth. I guess only time will tell if my motherly instinct if right. Liv (or Livvy Loo as I like to call her) is growing so quickly. She is thinning out and getting really long. I keep telling Trei we have a little supermodel on our hands. Her legs go for days. I think she may end up taller than Lucas one day. She has also become quite amused with laughing. For a long time. She will break out into hysterics with just a glance. It is so darling I can't quite do it justice by trying to explain it. You must experience the cute-ness yourself. She has also discovered her voice and will "talk" loudly for a few minutes at a time. Just like the laughing, it makes me want to bite her little cheeks and kiss her sweet lips. Babies are fun. I wish they didn't have to grow out of this stage so quickly. I really like it. As for Lucas, he is as charming and active as ever. His vocabulary is growing fast and now includes "Grandma" (or ga-ma as he says it), "One" (when asked how old he is), "More Please" and a bunch more. It's difficult for me to image him having a full conversation with me one day, but I'm sure it will come sooner than later. He has been spending his days in the pool with his dad trying to escape this heat. As much as my husband would like to see my white legs get some color I cannot handle 115 degrees. That's misery. I'd rather be white and cool than tan and hot. Lucas is very cautious around the pool which surprises us since he is such a fearless tornado around the house. He creeps into the pool and does not get off his step until you are close enough to grab him. Trei took him down the waterslide, but he didn't like it. If you ask him if he wants to go down it again he very clearly says "No", while shaking his head a few times. He wears a swim diaper which has caused the cutest "speedo" tan line. I could watch his naked butt run around for hours. Not sure I mentioned, but Trei started his new job a few weeks ago. He's worked as a chef in a small, high end boutique hotel in Santa Monica and is really loving it. I've had to tackle the kids on my own which isn't nearly as fun as having Trei help - but I've realized how capable I am as a mother. I really am a real life superhero. All moms are for that matter. I quickly need to mention that my photography website is finally live. Check it out if you feel like it. The link is on the left side of the page. I'm really looking forward to this next step in my life, it feels like God is preparing me for some big things.
Well, time for me to close. I need to grab my son from his nap and feed him lunch. Fun :)
